I'm writing to acknowledge the wonderful accommodations we enjoyed June 17. Our bicycle touring groups had a rough ending to a 50 mile day, with rain, traffic and rough roads. I want to thank Florence for making it very easy for the ten of us to get situated in our rooms and make sure we knew about the hot tub. It was a welcome relief after our ride. It was especially easy to have the total bill divided onto each of our ten credit cards. We found you from a recommendation from a Tupper Lake motel... Thanks again for being a great place to stay. First off I would like to say that from the moment we walked through the front doors, we were amazed and very pleased with the overwhelming homey atmosphere before us. The beauty was breathtaking! Upon approaching the front desk, the welcoming we received from your staff was of no surprise with their warm and gracious acceptance of our arrival, even though it was off season at the time. We would like to thank everyone for the most enjoyable of stays. My friends and I stayed in your Whiteface suite, and I must remark that it was the very best place I have ever stayed, not to mention one of the cleanest. Being from 10 hours away my friends were hesitant, but when we arrived all doubts were resolved. I wanted to take this opportunity and send an email thanking you for providing us with such a nice place to stay. We stayed there in January, and even now in July I am remembering how nice the suite was. I would recommend Swiss Acres to anyone staying in Lake Placid and skiing on Whiteface. We recently held our annual L.P.G.E. (Lake Placid Golf Extravaganza) and stayed at the Swiss Acres. We were 11 guys and were most impressed with the courteous and helpful staff (merci Florence) as well as the great meal and comfortable lodging. The lodge was an ideal setting for our two day stay, and despite having to get up early for a golf tee time our hosts accommodated us with a nice breakfast. We look forward to returning. My wife and I have stayed many times in Lake Placid and Saranac Lake over the years and always enjoyed our time there. In fact, it was fifteen years ago this year that we stayed at Paul Smith's in S.L. on our honeymoon. It was really by accident that we found you this time, as our original accommodations booking fell through. From the moment we walked into the lobby and were greeted at the front desk (by Flo) we were treated like our stay was of the utmost importance. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was excellent, and the service was faultless. Without a doubt, the hospitality shown us at Swiss Acres Inn was the best yet. We now have a new favorite! Hello! I just wanted to let you know that we (the Parkers from Red Hook) had a great stay at your place Dec. 28 - Jan. 2. Your staff was always pleasant, and we loved the lodge/lounge/hot tub/restaurant/New Years Eve Party.... etc. The room worked out great (#41) as we used the kitchenette, too, and the boys loved the bunk beds! ...I was in room 21 last week, and really enjoyed my stay. Several others in my family stayed at your inn and we all were very impressed. The staff was excellent. The food was great. And, the rooms were cleaned very well. In the future, we all plan more trips to Lake Placid because we didn't have time to do as much as we wanted. Although we could stay on the lake as our family has a home there, we do a lot of family things and there are too many of us to all stay at their place (Napowocki's).
